For bi-directional shutoff of liquids, solids and slurries in vacuum or pressurized conveying systems.

FEATURES

• A full flange wafer design of sleek construction for low headroom mountings.
• Baffle provided at the inlet to ensure flow of material towards the centre. This helps in avoiding possible entrapment of granular material between the seal and front end of gate during closing operation.
• Gate having bevelled knife edge at bottom to cut through solid particles settled at bottom of body and achieve full closure.
• Rubber to metal peripheral sealing of gate to ensure bi-directional leakage prevention across the gate.
• Gland-less valve provided with unique cross sealing mechanism at the rear end for leakage prevention.
• This unique cross sealing arrangement enables filling of packing material within the valve in installed condition without the need of de-pressurising the system.
• Double start threaded rising spindle provided for faster opening and closing.

LEAKAGE TESTING

• Conforming to MSS SP-81 for valves up to 600mm size. For higher sizes proprietary norms shall be applicable.

LEAKAGE RATE

• No visible leakage.

BODY TEST PRESSURE

• 1.5 times of normal working pressure, or
• Max. 6 bar for valves up to 600mm size in cast iron body.
• Max. l0 bar for valves up to 600mm size in steel/stainless steel body.
